James Pagliuca of Gill & Chamas, LLC represented an Ocean County man who received a $750,000 settlement after he was injured in an automobile accident.
The client, a 50-year old man, was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck by another car that went through a stop sign. As a result, the plaintiff suffered pelvic injuries that required surgery.
While the passenger lived in Ocean County, he filed suit in Monmouth County, where the accident occurred. The case was mediated before the former Presiding Judge in the Civil Division of Middlesex County, Jamie Happas.
According to Mr. Pagliuca, although the defendant admitted that he was one hundred percent responsible for the accident, his insurance company was responsible for paying the settlement amount.
