Judicial nominations: New Jersey’s Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday (1/26/15) advanced the nominations of 11 candidates for judicial slots on the state’s Superior Court, including nine for Bergen County and two for Union.
The nine Bergen County nominees include Deborah Gross-Quatrone and Mark T. Janeczko, currently Municipal Court judges in Saddle Brook and Wood Ridge, respectively; James X. Sattely Jr. and Walter F. Skrod, who are Bergen County and Englewood Cliffs municipal prosecutors; and public defenders Christopher R. Kazlau and Magali M. Francois.
The remaining three nominees for the county currently serve in private practice: James J. DeLuca, Gregg A. Padovano and Jane Gallina Mecca.
The two nominees approved by the committee for the Union County bench include Richard C. Wischusen and John G. Hudak.
Final Senate confirmation votes on the 11 nominees are currently expected on Feb. 5, according to Judiciary Committee Chairman Nicholas Scutari, D-Union/Middlesex.
